Over the last few months, several research findings have been reported by news agencies and clinical journals, reminding us of the importance of vitamin D.
The most compelling story was published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, and it stated:
“Cancer patients who have higher levels of vitamin D when they are diagnosed, tend to have better survival rates and remain in remission longer than patients who are vitamin D-deficient.”
This is just miraculous news for anyone who’s been diagnosed with Cancer or wants to avoid it!
“By reviewing studies that collectively examined vitamin D levels in 17,332 cancer patients, our analysis demonstrated that vitamin D levels are linked to better outcomes in several types of cancer,” said one of the study’s authors, Hui Wang, MD, PhD, Professor at the Institute for Nutritional Sciences at the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shanghai, China.
“Considering that vitamin D deficiency is a widespread issue all over the world, it is important to ensure that everyone has sufficient levels of this important nutrient,” Wang said.
We are proud to have pioneered D3 therapy and to make the most powerful D3 product combined with K2 and other powerful antioxidants, all in one blockbuster formulation called Ultra D3.

Low Vitamin D Levels Linked to Disease in Two Big Studies
Your body produces vitamin D when skin is exposed to the sun and can absorb it from foods. Vitamin D is THE vital nutrient each of us desperately needs enough of, and it is present in every single cell in the body. Blood levels of vitamin D can be lowered by smoking, obesity and inflammation to name a few.
In April, the New York Times reported findings from two large studies, both of which concluded that people with low levels of vitamin D are more likely to die from cancer and heart disease and to suffer from other illnesses.
The study strongly suggested that blood levels of vitamin D are a very good barometer of overall health.
Vitamin D is nicknamed “the sunshine nutrient”, (or my personal favorite, The God Vitamin) and is a crucial component of the immune system – in fact, receptors for vitamin D are found throughout every cell and tissues of the body, which suggests it may be VITAL to to many physiological functions, said Dr. Oscar H. Franco, professor of Preventative Medicine at Erasmus Medical Center, and the author of one of the studies which appeared in the British Medical Journal (BMJ).
Dr. Franco went on to say that vitamin D has effect at the genetic level, affects cardiovascular health and bone health, affecting genes to inflammation. Vitamin D protects against major disease and adults with lower levels of the vitamin had a 35% increased risk of death from heart disease, 14% greater likelihood of death from cancer, and an overall greater morality risk.
When the research participants took vitamin D3, they had an 11% reduction in mortality from all causes, compared to those who didn’t! In the United States, an estimated two-thirds of the population is deficient in vitamin D and approximately 13% of all deaths in the U.S. can be attributed to vitamin D deficiency!
The second study, also published in BMJ, concluded there was “suggestive evidence” high vitamin D levels actually PROTECT against diabetes, stroke, hypertension, and many more illnesses.
This study agreed with Dr. Franco that more research was needed to identify the optimal dose of vitamin D, but “But there is enough positive research currently to indicate that people should be supplementing with vitamin D for a variety of positive health outcomes,” he added.
I personally recommend that you go get your vitamin D levels checked. The medical community suggests your OPTIMAL levels are much lower than I believe are healthy. If you are unsure of your results, feel free to contact our Clinic Without Walls for help.
Because it is nearly impossible to get healthy vitamin D levels from our diets alone, or from enough sunshine, our premiere Ultra D3 formula can help you get your D3 levels to the optimum range and help you ward off disease – and worse – before it’s too late!
According to the Vitamin D Council these people are more likely to be deficient in vitamin D:
