Cholesterol's "deadly" Cousin

February is American Heart Month and Valentine’s Day falls right in the middle of it. Is there some connection there?

Among all the Valentine’s Day cards and boxes of chocolates, a giant piece of information has gone missing – but not here at our little company.

Two Cholesterol Miracles, "You're Next"!

On Sept. 11, 2010 my cholesterol was 236. The “good” was not high enough and the “bad” was not low enough.

My doctor wanted to put me on medicine. I asked him to give me a chance to do something about it myself first. He gave me an order to get the cholesterol checked in January of 2011.

My friend Jan had told me about you, so I looked up your website and signed up and ordered Cholesteine. My husband started fixing organic steel cut oats for me. He added a little honey and stevia to them. I eat a bowl of the oats almost every morning for breakfast.

On Nov. 11, 2010 my cholesterol was checked again and it was 198. Two months later, on January 17, 2011 my cholesterol was checked again. My doctor’s office called and told me my cholesterol was 180. The nurse said the “good” is higher than the goal and the “bad” is lower than the goal. The doctor said to continue what I was doing and he’d see me next Sept. for my annual check up.

The Cholesteine and steel cut oats are the only change I have made to my diet. We eat a lot of chicken breasts and other healthy stuff, salads, veggies, etc. However, breakfast is my favorite meal and that’s what I order many times when we eat out. "Pepper", the dog that became a person

When Mike Calabrese, one of our wonderful, long-term customers wrote to me about how our formulas had helped save his dog’s life, the Bee Gees chimed in immediately from my memory bank and I just had to let you all hear what Mike’s dog “Pepper” means to him in so many ways.

I have used your products with phenomenal results (and as a matter of fact I am breaking in between thoughts to take everything for your detox as I write this,) I have recommended you and your line to a lot of people, and swear by you, who you are, what you do, and your amazing products you make.

About a month ago my best friend Pepper (seen in the picture with me) was struck with Vestibular Disease/Syndrome. For the people who do not know what that is, it is very similar to a Stroke in dogs. God has not blessed me with children yet, but he did send me Pepper who is without a doubt my son. Although my boy will be 15 years old this month (Feb 2011) I have a hard time facing the fact that he is getting up in age since I met him and have had him apart of my life since he was 1 1/2 years old.

The Vet gave him antibiotics right away, however, that is when I called you once there was a diagnosis of what he had. I have always made sure Pepper has had the best of everything with top of the line dog food…although his diet has changed a few times over the years; never letting him ingest tap water since I’ve had him, and thanks to you he gets water from your water treatment, which I change at least 2 times a day to always keep it fresh; and no matter what is going on in my life, I always make sure he gets a walk every day over the Spring, Summer, and Fall; and so much more. I will not walk him during the winter months since there is salt on the roads.

That “so much more” also includes making sure he gets the best herbs and minerals on the face of this earth. I do have to admit, though, that I stopped giving him the Shark Liver Oil when he kept taking the gel cap out of his bowl prior to the disease. The day I called you, I was very unsure of our future together, of my boy and I, since he, within a matter of 10 minutes, went from very energetic and his normal happy-go-lucky self to no balance with his equilibrium off & his eyes twitching; acting as though he had no idea where he was or what was going on, and he was very weak. He was also scared I believe since he didn’t know what was happening. The disease struck suddenly.

Dr Garland, you really know how to put a person’s mind at ease. The day I called you, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a mess. The vet said it would be at least 2 weeks before I saw any type of sign of improvement. There was no doubt in your mind though, just as long as I do what you said, he would be just fine. You told me to get him back on the Shark Liver Oil, but this time pierce the gel cap and let the drops go into the food; increase his D3-K2, and increase his drops of Life Transfusion. Although, to cover the fish taste, I now mix a little bit of chicken breast into the mixture of food, herbs, and minerals, it made a big difference to let the oil go directly into the food. As of late, I have heard that a lot of dogs Love fish. Pepper is unfortunately not one of them. He can’t resist chicken though, which I cook for him with no salt, oil, or anything.

Thank You for solving what has been a mystery to me for 45 years. I am an orthopedic radiographer (RT(R). I am very involved with Dexa scans and Vitamin D.

Until your recent letter I thought that my son just had poor bones when he was an infant. His x-rays in our office looked like it could be a battered child. Thank God I knew better and was believed. He was then sent to physical therapy to help with balance and coordination, where on the first day fell and broke both wrists. The endocrinologists and orthopedists could find no reason for his soft bones.

That was 38 years ago.

He turned out to be a fine young man and a RN. His life was tragically cut short at the age of 30 but I wish he could read your letter and know that it was not his fault or mine that he had so many fractures. Not until I started doing Dexa scans did I have my 25 OH Vitamin D level checked, it was 9 ng/ml.

Thank you for your dedication to the understanding of Vitamin D. At our orthopedic practice, we are still showing about a 70% vitamin D deficiency on new patients. Some of or family practice and primary care gate keepers are finally seeing the light as it used to be about 85%.

Feds Finally Wake Up to Fluoride Dangers

Simply Amazing!

Oftentimes it seems like we are the lone heretic ranting and raving about the toxic dangers entering in our food and water. Last spring, we published an article about the hidden dangers that occur when Fluoride is added to our drinking water. If you missed the article, click here to read it.

Well, on Friday, Jan 7th, federal health officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) finally admitted that American’s are getting too much fluoride, and for the first time in nearly 50 years, reduced the recommended level from 1.2 parts per million to 0.7. That’s a reduction of nearly 50%!

While we applaud the Fed’s decision to lower the recommended levels, the only acceptable level of fluoride in our drinking water is no fluoride at all!

ATLANTA (AP) — Fluoride in drinking water, credited with dramatically cutting cavities and tooth decay, may now be too much of a good thing. Getting too much of it causes spots on some kids’ teeth.

A reported increase in the spotting problem is one reason the federal government will announce Friday it plans to lower the recommended levels for fluoride in water supplies, the first such change in nearly 50 years.

About 2 out of 5 adolescents have tooth streaking or spottiness because of too much fluoride, a surprising government study found recently. In some extreme cases, teeth can even be pitted by the mineral, though many cases are so mild only dentists notice it.

Health officials note that most communities have fluoride in their water supplies, and toothpaste has it too. Some kids are even given fluoride supplements.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is announcing a proposal to change the recommended fluoride level to 0.7 milligrams per liter of water. And the Environmental Protection Agency will review whether the maximum cutoff of 4 milligrams per liter is too high. The standard since 1962 has been a range of 0.7 to 1.2 milligrams per liter.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that the splotchy tooth condition, fluorosis, is unexpectedly common in kids ages 12 through 15. And it appears to have grown much more common since the 1980s.

“As the last days of Christmas pass over the horizon and the moment comes to celebrate the miraculous birth of Christ, we want to ask each of you, the members of our ever-growing family, to stop for a moment and give thanks for your body in providing you with “life” in every moment.

In the hustle & bustle of our world, which is fast-becoming a constant blur of noise and tumult, this time of year is one we all need to just stop for a minute, take a time-out, and look up to the heavens and say a soft “Thank You” for the miracle of the gift of life.

We see miracles of life every single day at our little company and take tremendous pride in our earnest, tiny contribution, of helping people realize what we call “Contagious Health” that is everyone’s God-given right from birth.

I turned 50 this year and since I never go to the doctor, my wife was adamant I have a physical and blood workup done. I’ve been healthy and athletic all of my life, so my weight was fine and bodyfat was less than 15%, but my cholesterol and blood pressure were high – really high.

I eat well (or so I thought) and my dad always had high cholesterol, so the doctor said it was hereditary and there was nothing I could do about it. He wrote me a prescription for a cholesterol drug, but I said “no thanks” and wanted to see if I could lower it naturally.

I called a friend who put me in touch with you, and you opened my eyes about what a good diet really is.

I also read your book, Kill Cholesterol Before Cholesterol Kills You, and made the commitment to switch to a plant-based diet, although I must admit I was concerned how I would get enough protein to maintain muscle size and strength. I always thought that was what animal meat was for.

I also started taking the formulas recommended: Cholesteine, Liquid Minerals, Nattokinase Max, Liv-RX and Omega 3/6/9.

I work in construction and the guys normally eat fast food for lunch. I would bring a big salad for lunch and they teased me. I had all this energy and they were sluggish and always wanting to stop and take a break.

He said, “nobody drops their cholesterol like this without drugs… people might lower their cholesterol by 20 points, but no one lowers it like this!” He then said, “well, I guess there’s no need to put you on a statin drug now.”
