Curcumin has been a staple of Indian cooking for literally thousands of years. I fell in love with it when studying and fighting cancer in northern India over 24 years ago.
Now, all this time later, the scientific world has “woken up” to Curcumin’s powers.

Scientists Say Curry Compound Kills Cancer Cells Researchers at the Cork Cancer Research Center in Ireland treated esophageal cancer cells with Curcumin — a chemical found in the spice turmeric, which gives curries a distinctive yellow color — and found it started to kill cancer cells within 24 hours. The cells also began to digest themselves, they said in a study published in the British Journal of Cancer. Previous scientific studies have suggested Curcumin can suppress tumors and that people who eat lots of curry may be less prone to the disease, although Curcumin loses its anti-cancer attributes quickly when ingested. (Dr. Garland comments: this is not a problem with our pharmaceutical grade, patented Super Curcumin C3 Complex.) But Sharon McKenna, lead author of the Irish study, said her study suggested a potential “for scientists to develop Curcumin as an anti-cancer drug to treat esophageal cancer.” Cancers of the esophagus kill more than 500,000 people across the world each year. The tumors are especially deadly, with five-year survival rates of just 12 to 31 percent. McKenna said the study showed Curcumin caused the cancer cells to die “using an unexpected system of cell messages.” Normally, faulty cells die by committing programmed suicide, or apoptosis, which occurs when proteins called caspases are ‘switched on’ in cells, the researchers said. But these cells showed no evidence of suicide, and the addition of a molecule that inhibits caspases and stops this “switch being flicked’ made no difference to the number of cells that died, suggesting Curcumin attacked the cancer cells using an alternative cell signaling system. U.S. researchers said in 2007 they had found Curcumin may help stimulate immune system cells in fighting Alzheimer’s disease. |
Super Curcuminod Formula – Proven to Fight Cancer and Alzheimer’s

“The effects of Curcumin were encouraging,” says the study’s principal investigator, Razelle Kurzrock, M.D., chair of M. D. Anderson’s Department of Investigational Cancer Therapeutics (Phase I clinical trial program). “It showed activity in patients, and there were no side effects.”

Royena – yes, curcumin can have a positive effect on all forms of cancer, but this one compound is not a miracle cure. For fighting cancer, you MUST incorporate what I call the 3 D’s: Detoxification, Diet and Daily Exercise.

Dear Doctor,
I am actually in Bangalore for the treatment of my son who is 17 years old.
After 8 sessions of chemo in my country and more chemo here since we are here in Dec 24 2012…there has been no remission. The doctor wanted to do transplant but the bone marrow is pending and the donor who are my two other children their blood is only 50% compatible with him which is of high risk to go for stem cell transplant..i I have always believe in natural treatment like my grandmother and grandfather did in their own time…but now seeing my son who wish to live and study what can I do when treating a cancer patient with chemo which is a poison and cancer a poison,, it has failed.
